Grandpa Boyd Bulloch! Celebration of Life!!

These are the sweet words from my Honz to his incredible grandpa! ~I will be forever grateful to have been lucky enough to be chosen as a member of his posterity here on this earth! 70+ years married! 11 children! 150+ grand kids and great grand kids! Grandpa Bulloch was the example we should all strive to be.
Grandpa, thank you for all you have taught me-
You truly were the “Richest man on earth” all the years of your life!
Love you grandpa! God speed, until we meet again!
Yes we are still in June wk 2- summer fun wk 3! We headed to Cedar City, UT mid week! Chad's wonderful , amazing Grandpa Bulloch passed away last week and this week was his funeral! We enjoyed the day with family! Setting up and putting the final touches on the funeral program and day! We went to the temple and Cash did baptisms! We sure loved being at the temple to feel closer to Grandpa!
What and incredible beautiful Celebration of Life! Grandpa Boyd Bulloch! He truly was a legend! A giant of a man! Chad's mentor! He passed away at 92yrs old! He lived an amazing life! Always sharing his life experiences and telling the best stories! We are all going to miss this amazing man but what an incredible legacy he left! We are eternally grateful for our Grandpa! Grandpa was known for his $2 dollar bills! Chad over the years has taken on the $2 dollar bill excitement to be like his grandpa! Chad gave our kids $2 dollar bills to pass out to all the guest and family that came to the funeral! It was special to see their faces light up! Everyone loves a $2 bill and it 100% represented Grandpa! So awesome! So special! It was the highlight of the morning!
The services were beautiful! Chad was asked to speak and did an incredible job! Share so many stories and tied it all into the gospel! Testimony! Trust! Confidence! These are 3 words that represent Grandpa through and through! All the grand and great grand kids sang 1 songs! There's a lot of them! I was in charge of gathering them up and leading the music! It was amazing to see all of Grandpa posterity! A beautiful sight!
The burial services were beautiful too! All the great grand kids got to flood the top of his casket with flowers and $2 dollar bills! It was amazing!
After the grave site we headed to Parowan where Grandpa's cousin let us use his beautiful barn for our family luncheon! We cont to share stories and memories about grandpa all day! Love it!
Spent the rest of the weekend up in Cedar playing with cousins and catching up! We truly had a wonderful weekend with family and celebrating Grandpa! He will be extremely missed but forever in our hearts!
Dancing with his beautiful wife in heaven! I love the love they had! Truly remarkable and eternal! Wanted to save his obituary so I have put it below!
Boyd Cox Bulloch, 92, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in Cedar City, Utah. He was born April 24, 1934, in Cedar City, to Bruce Nielson Bulloch and Louisa Cox Bulloch. He spent his early childhood years in Southern California before his family relocated to Boulder City, Nevada, where he graduated from Boulder City High School in 1952. Following high school, he attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating with a degree in Accounting.
Boyd married his high school sweetheart and the absolute love of his life, Patricia Jeanne Swartz, in 1955. They settled in North Las Vegas in 1959, where they began building a beautiful, enduring legacy together. Patricia preceded him in death in 2018, and after missing her deeply for eight years, they are finally reunited.
A man of immense diligence, vision, and fearlessness, Boyd never encountered a challenge, an opportunity, or the unknown that he was not willing to face head-on. He was a visionary entrepreneur in North Las Vegas, starting and operating multiple successful businesses and expanding real estate holdings throughout his long career. Though he built a successful career in development, Boyd always maintained that his true wealth couldn't be found in land or ledgers. He frequently told anyone who would listen that he was "the richest man alive"—a title he claimed not because of his business ventures, but because of his faith, his eternal covenants, and the family he adored.
Alongside his professional pursuits, Boyd possessed a profound sense of civic duty. He served with distinction as a city councilman for the City of North Las Vegas and was actively involved in numerous committees and regional commissions within the Las Vegas Valley.
Boyd’s greatest passion and work with Pat was raising their 11 children. Their home was a sanctuary of hospitality, always filled with friends, neighbors, and extended family. While he was the father to 11, countless others looked to Boyd as a father figure, and his door was always open to anyone in need of guidance, shelter, or a warm welcome.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Boyd lived a life guided by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. From 1988 to 1991, Boyd and Pat served faithfully as he presided over the Mississippi Jackson Mission, maintaining a lifelong love for the many missionaries who served under his leadership. He also served for many years as the Director of Public Affairs for the Church, where he was heavily involved in the public affairs and site coordination for the construction of the Las Vegas Nevada Temple.
Boyd had a passion for life and a wide array of interests. He loved flying, building, ranching, and working on the land. He was never happier than when he was starting new projects and improving his properties. His joyful, competitive spirit and absolute pride in his massive posterity were famously captured on his custom writing pens, which he loved to hand out to friends and strangers alike. They bore a trademark inscription that perfectly captured his zest for life: “Boyd & Patricia Bulloch: 11 children, 52 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren… catch me if you can!”
Boyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Bulloch; his parents, Bruce and Louisa Cox Bulloch; his sister, Beverly Gaffin; his grandson, Michael Avance; and his great-grandson, Declan Peattie.
He is survived by his 11 children: Bruce (Linda), Randy (Robyn), Howard (Cristi), Dee Dee Bulloch, Alicia (Mike) Avance, Brent (Diane), Bonnie Bulloch, Scott (Michelle), Troy (Erin), Roger (Megan), and Rebecca (Kent) Wagner. Boyd was incredibly proud to be a grandfather to over 50 grandchildren, and a great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather to more than 100 descendants.
