Next up for this wk! and yes we are still in October wk 4 weekly recap! Piper had her Nevada Citizenship project due and awards assembly! So much planning and prepping for her big project that it needed it's own post! So here she is!!! Piper has been working all month on planning out her project! From drawing and designing to ordering the items she needed! Part of the Nevada Citizen award she had to complete a Nevada project that represented Nevada! State symbols! Counties! Facts ect! She designed and created a high fashion denim coat!! With embroidery! Patches! and Sparkle! She had this coat packed full with several state symbols! Representing Nevada at it's finest!
The jacket we bought! She designed the patches and we got them ordered! She met with her daddy to design the embroidery section! The full back was embroidered with the Nevada Counties! Once all her custom patches arrived she began to design her layout of her jacket! Once all mapped out she began the heat press process where she pressed the heavy machine down on the coat and the patches sealed them together! The high heat makes the patch stick! Her custom coat consisted of these patches: the state seal, state flag, Las Vegas, Hover Dam, state bird, state flower, and embroidery of the state counties! She also represented the state precious gem stones- black fire opal and turquoise with sparkled stars! The NEVADA across the top back was outlined in gold to represent the gold rush! I'm telling you she thought of every detail to add to her coat! Wow it was coming together!
She wanted to hand out a surprise to her teacher and the other 4th grade teacher so she came up with the idea to make 3D printed earrings in the shape of Nevada! So fun! She even made the colors our school colors too! Love it! Cashy got her all set up and ready to print from his 3D printer! Boom! Out they printed! She then hooked the earing part to the 3D printed Nevada and bagged them up! That was fun! She loved making the earrings! Fun craft and so creative! Great job Piper!
Ta-Da!!! Just look at this finished coat! Wow! So professional! Incredible job Pipes! She got dressed up in her cute western wear and was ready to get to school to show off her new jacket! Her completed Nevada project! So proud of her! It really turned out so good! I love it so much I want a matching one!
Upon arrival we surprised the entire 4th grade team with Cashy's Nevada project! His custom Nevada Tee he designed when he was in 4th grade! and the Nevada earrings Piper made! Her teacher was so excited and so was the entire 4th grade team! yayyy! We snapped a pic to show Cashy! He was so proud to see his shirt still being worn all these years later! Piper had the best day! So much fun celebrating Nevada with all her friends in 4th grade! They evan had a Hoe-Dow lunch! Look how great Piper's coat looked on display! Do you spot the blanket underneath?! That was Penny's Nevada project she did 7yrs ago! She made a blanket! We used as a backdrop! Love it! Love that all 3 of my kids projects were used! So awesome!
Piper's coat was the talk of the town amongst the staff and the parents! Love that for her! She was so proud of it! Next up was the Nevada Citizenship Awards assembly! They sang the Nevada state song! Piper was given her award and metal! Yayyyy! She has worked so hard! Studying for 4 different tests and planning her big project! She passed with flying colors and was awarded her metal! Daddy and I are so proud of our baby girl! and as you can see she was extremely proud of herself! Love her for that! It was a packed full day of fun and success! Way to go Piper! She is loving her 4th grade year so much and is having a great 4th grade year thus far!
