Day 1: Tuesday: Traveling to Calgary Airport! Canada 40th Birthday Trip here we come!! We traveled with the Wells, Bayardos, Facers, and Whitneys! We arrived to the airport and got all checked in!! We flew out Tuesday with a 3hr delay! We finally made it! We arrived in Canada at 1am! Cool Life! lol We sure did enjoy the airport elite lounges though! lol Once Honz realized we could enjoy the private lounges at the airport he was in heaven! We had our own area to sit, eat , charge phones ect! It was awesome! VIP baby! lol
We finally boarded the airplane after waiting 3 hrs! Landed in Canada at 1am! Went to get the Turo Car and the guy was an absolute freak! He was mad he had to come bring us the car at 1am when we told him originally the plane landed at 10pm! Ummm last I checked we aren't in charge of our flight getting delayed! We did not want this to happen! Anyhow he was such a jerk that he drove off with the car we were renting! lol So we were left at the airport with no rental car and now it's 2am! lol Oh man we were off to a great start in another country! lol We just kept laughing along! Luckily our friends that rented their van from turo talked with their driver and he had another car we could ret from him! So we piled into the van with all the luggage and followed the driver to the other car! It was a Mercedes! lol Sweet! So we rented directly from him! We were desperate and luckily it all worked out! The car ran great for the whole wk and it was cheaper than the nasty guy on turo we originally rented from! lol
It's 3am now! Ohhhh Happy 40th Birthday Honz! We rang in his birthday dealing with car rentals! lol All he wanted was his Canadian poutine! lol So our first stop was A&W for Poutine and all the Canadian chocolate and chips! So freakn good! Their snacks and treats are next level! Then we drove close to 2 hrs to our Resort in Kananaskis! We arrived there around 5am! Oh what a night! lol
Day 2: Wed: Banff! We quickly got settled in our hotel room and fell asleep! Wed was our Banff day of hiking and we had been up since 5 am! So we selpt in till about 11am and headed out! Banff National Park here we come!
1st stop Tim Hortons! It was a gas station, food stop and gift shop! The donuts were so freakn amazing! The breakfast sandwiches too! We are off to a great day! Happy Birthday Honz!
Arrived to Banff National park! It was huge! Such a big national park! Never seen anything like this! Absolutely stunning! My eyes could not believe what I was seeing! We stopped a some cute little gift shops! Exchanged some money for the kids! The Canadian money is super cool! Very different! Their lowest bill was a $5. The $1 and $2 are Coins! So cool! Their money is very thin too! So rad! OH and the exchange rate is great for us! about 30% difference! Our dollar being the best! We were making money up there! lol Or as us girls were saying everything is a 30% discount! lol So we need to keep shopping! lol
We made it to Lake Louise! We drove here and started our hike from Lake Louise! Again my eyes could not believe what I was seeing! Such beautiful country! Wowza!
We did a 6 mile hike to the Tea House! It said moderate hike! ummmm that was freakn hard! lol Straight up the mountain back and forth switch backs the whole way! I took it at my own pace! Honz stayed along side me! We weren't sure either of us were going to make it! Listen people they were happy I was even on the hike! Cause if you truly know me....you know.... I do not HIKE! lol
but guess what... I DID It! I hike it! We sat in the cutest Tea House and enjoyed the best food! They were all shocked I made it up!! lol It was amazing! It felt great! So accomplishing! I even bought the tshirt! lol Got to document when I hike cause I never hike! lol Stepping out of my comfort zone and really enjoying it!

Then we headed into the little town of Banff which looked like Arendelle from Frozen! I though I was going to spot Ana and Elsa out and about! lol The cutest little town! Great shopping too!
More shopping and had dinner here too! Ohh Happy 40th Birthday honz! Yes it was still his birthday! lol We had almost been up for 24hrs lol! Long Wed with us arriving at 1am! lol We sure had the best day celebrating him!!! I wo9uld say Honz had the best 40th Birthday ever!
New Hotel room for us! Did I mention above when we arrive to our hotel at 5am it stunk so bad but because we had been up all night we decided to just stay and figure it out the next day! Well the next day we didn't get back to the hotel until 11pm! That's when we changed rooms! So night 2 we were in a different room!
Day 3: Thursday: Jasper! This was a further drive for us but so worth it! As we were driving we saw so many animals! These pics are when we spotted a Black Bear eating berries and pulled off to the side of the ride! It was so exciting to see this! Yet again my eyes were amazed! A real Black Bear so close to us! Omg! lol So unbelievable!
We arrived to Jasper and took the Glacier tour! It was a monster truck that took you out on the glaciers! It was crazy cool! The smoke from the fires from British Columbia were thicker today! So the top of the mountains were a bit more hazy! Still beautiful to see out just not as clear!

The water was crystal clear and freezing cold!! Tasted so good too!
Next stop was the Glass Walk!
The Icefield Skywalk was trippy! We walked out onto the glass and could look straight down! We were high up too! So if you were afraid of heights this was probably not for you! Chad and I loved it! I don't get scared of heights at all! I'm only scared of overexerting myself! lol Like hiking! But the glass walk thousands of feet in the air was no sweat at all! lol It was unbelievably beautiful!
We ate lunch in Jasper then headed back to our resort! Along the way we stopped off at a few lakes and hiked around! These pics are from Lake Beau! It was so fun and absolutely gorgeous!
Our next stop along the way was Lake Emerald! Holy Moly was this lake turquoise! My eyes! lol Could not believe what I was seeing!
So we had to do a little photoshoot with the turquoise lake waters! Wow!
Honz and a few others even got in the freezing cold Lake Emerald! Holy Moly! Ice cold! That was quite the adventure! lol Back to the hotel to hot tub and yet again change our room again! Seriously this was annoying! They put us in a room the night before for just the one night while they moved other guests around! I guess it was a completely booked resort! Who knew! lol Anyhow so Night 3 we had another new room! They left a bottle a wine and chocolate dipped strawberries as surprise for all the hassle of the room changes! Luckily we got to stay in this room the rest of our stay! We gave the bottle of wine to newlyweds that we met in the spa! lol They loved it! Such an amazing day!
Day 4: Friday: Kananaskis Couples Golf! We woke up and went down and had breakfast at o9ur resort! They hotel comped this too for us for all the room changes! Wahoo! Then off to golf!
Honz and I haven't golfed together since our 1 yr anniversary and we are hitting our 15yr anniversary this August! So it's been 14yrs since I golfed! lol Let me just tel you... I still got it! lol We had such a blast!
Seriously such a fun time golfing with couples and best friends! We were cranking that ball out there! So much laughter! It was a good time for sure! The golf course s unbelievably beautiful! Up in the mountains golfing! So gorgeous!
I even pared 2 holes! lol It was fun to see Honz in action! He's goooooood! So impressed with his skills! The bff Facers were freakn good too! It was a great day! We ate dinner at the golf course looking out at the beautiful scenery!
Driving back to the resort I spotted a grizzly bear just walking along the side of the rode looking for berries! It was crazy! Totally freaky cool!
To finish out our couples golf day we ended at the spa for a couples spa night! I am always so hesitant about the spas! Such a waste of money to me but man this one was really awesome! Outside legit in the beautiful mountains were all these pools, cabin sonas, and firepits! So relaxing! It was called the Twilight Soak! You soaked in several different pools called Hydrotherapy Circuit! They broke me down! lol I was doing the hot, cold, warm, rest, repeat cycle! It was insanely cool! Never done anything like this! I'm so glad I broke down and jumped into the fun of the crazy rotations of the extremely hot to the freezing polar plunge! Crazy Wild!
Honz was living his best life! He loves to be pampered! He loves a good spa! I could pass on it but really had so much fun with our friends! It was a great time! I loved every min of it!
Finished the night eating dinner at the pub at the resort and then played games! So much fun getting to know our friends more! So much banter and laughter! Loves these peeps!

While the boys golfed we shopped!! We went into Calgary to get our shop on!! Later that evening the boys met back up with us at the Calgary Stampede! Their big carnival and rodeo! You know I love that!!! We got all dressed up in our Rodeo gear and had a blast!

Rodeo time! While we were sitting there a hail storm came through! It was so crazy how fast the rain/ hail came down! Holy Moly! That didn't stop the Rodeo! The show must go on! lol No joke! That was wild! Mud everywhere! We don't even know how the riders could see!

The night life at the Carnival was wild! Wow! The music and dancing! We had a blast!
Day 6: Sunday: Canmore for more Golf! This was Honz favorite golf course ever! Silvertip! He got a new hat at each golf course too! Love that! He played another great game and was loving his life!!

While the boys golfed the girls went on a hike! Of course it was so beautiful! I then went back and packed up our room! This was our last day! :(
We drove into Calgary and went to a cute Farmers Market before we headed to the airport! We of course enjoyed the VIP lounge yet again! This time it was in Canada! lol Don't worry we were delayed again another 3hrs just to get home! ugh! But we made it home at midnight and of course all my kids were wide awake ready to see us! lol
We had the most amazing couples trip! Thanks for having Team B come along! We truly bonded with these wonderful couples! So much laughter! We played non stop!! Can't wait to vacation with you guys again real soon! Where's our next trip going to take us! The adventures and memories await!
These are all the fun surprises we brought back for the kids from Canada! I had fun shopping! lol Also brought back lots of chocolate bars and chips! So many yummy treats!
